Calgary, Alberta – August 15th, 2018 – Ivrnet Inc. (TSXV: IVI) (“Ivrnet” or the “Corporation”) Ivrnet is pleased to confirm that we have successfully renewed our partnership with Calgary Transit, to deliver SMS route information and SMS advertising services.
The renewal of this partnership with Calgary Transit sets the stage for the launch of a renewed and enhanced AdCentral/NexText program, with new technology and new sales partners. This program promises to expand upon previous successes and offer even greater value to local businesses, national advertisers, and Calgary Transit riders. Ivrnet is proud to continue its great relationship with the Calgary Transit into the future.
In April of 2018 Ivrnet won an RFP to extend its SMS and Digital Ad Services contract with Calgary Transit. Through this relationship, Ivrnet assists Calgary Transit in two material areas of business operations. First, in providing real-time bus arrival information to all their commuting clientele, through a ubiquitous SMS communications platform. This service is offered to an average of 256,000 Calgary Transit clients for free, daily use. Second, in providing a digital ad placement platform that has been specifically designed to assist transit authorities with the management of budgetary costs, over the long term, associated with the operation of a GPS/SMS-based bus arrival time communications platform. AdCentral/NexText is an industry first cost recovery model, that was created by Ivrnet, to specifically assist in the generation and sharing of non-fare based digital advertising revenues. This spirit of the AdCentral/NexText digital advertising platform design is based on the premise of assisting any transit organization in streamlining operational costs and helping to keep public transit affordable, safe and convenient for all riders.
As stated in previous press releases, the AdCentral/NexText product line has been configured with the goal of providing Digital Ad services on large volume SMS platforms in a simple, effective, and seamless fashion, for both end users and marketers. One of the strongest competitive advantages of the AdCentral/NexText platform, according to our marketing and advertising partners, is the flexibility of the software to deliver different marketing programs to specific, geo-targeted areas of a city. AdCentral/NexText is CASL compliant and has been designed to comply to CRTC guidelines as outlined for commercial electronic messages.
Chris L. Topolniski, COO Ivrnet Inc., comments, “We are extremely excited to have been chosen by Calgary Transit, as their continuing operating partner, for the provision of these important SMS communications to the transit ridership here in Calgary. We are also honored to have won the opportunity to continue to provide a robust digital advertising platform to Calgary Transit.” He continues, “With the importance of finding alternative non-fare revenue sources to help reduce operational budgetary costs in the growing public transportation sector, Ivrnet has firmly established itself as an industry leader with the introduction and establishment of its unique AdCentral/NexText digital advertising product and operations model. As mentioned recently, we have entered into discussions with two international technology service provision companies to expand our reach both nationally and internationally as it relates to both aggregation service provision/processing and also our SMS based digital advertising product service suite. Our longstanding, successful relationships with model reference clients such as Calgary Transit here in Canada, coupled with our recently revamped AdCentral/Nextext sales and marketing team, will only serve to further enhance our efforts in expanding nationally and internationally both.”
