Calgary, Alberta - April 12, 2018 - Ivrnet Inc. team members wore hockey jerseys on April 12, Jersey Day, in a show of solidarity with the victims and survivors of the Saskatchewan bus crash that killed 16 people.

Jersey Day was organized by a group of B.C. women in support of Humboldt, the community at the centre of the tragedy. The junior hockey team was on its way to a playoff game on April 6 when their bus collided with a transport truck. Sixteen people were killed, including players, the team's head coach and trainer, a stats keeper, a broadcaster and the bus driver. Thirteen others were injured.

Across Canada, people arrived to school, work and public places wearing their jerseys. Ivrnet asked employees if they would like to participate and the response was a resounding “Yes.”

“We wanted to do something to show our support for this community who has suffered a tragic loss. Our hearts go out to the survivors and the families involved,” said David Snell, President and CEO, Ivrnet Inc.

“My family is a hockey family,” said Jim Jefferies, Vice President of Operations, Ivrnet Inc. "My two boys play,my wife and I play, I coach, and I’m on the board of directors for our hockey association. We are all fans. The hockey community across Canada is a tight knit network and we all know what it means to be part of a team. With this tragedy, a part of our wider team has been impacted with one of the worst case scenarios ever imaginable, but as a team the entire community comes together to provide support and to carry on the legacy of our young athletes.“
